This page describes how AI Decode Wire is put together. It is meant to be specific enough to hold us to. Two related policies live on their own pages: the AI-Assisted Content Policy covers how we use AI tools, and the Corrections Policy covers what happens when we get something wrong.
Sourcing
Every factual claim traces to something checkable. In practice that means:
- Primary sources first — the actual announcement, paper, changelog, pricing page or filing.
- Links go to the source, not to someone else’s write-up of the source.
- Numbers get attributed. If we cannot attribute a number, it does not appear.
- We do not launder rumours into fact. Unconfirmed things are labelled unconfirmed.
If a claim cannot be verified at the time of writing, the piece waits. We would rather be a day late than wrong.
Tested, documented, or reported
We distinguish between three things, explicitly, in the text:
- Tested — we used it ourselves, and we say what we did.
- Based on documentation — we read the docs, pricing and announcements but did not use it.
- Reported — someone else tested it, and we link to them.
We will not describe an experience we did not have. A review that implies hands-on use without it is the single fastest way for a publication like this to become worthless.
Commercial relationships
- Affiliate links are disclosed on any page that contains them, near the top. Details on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
- Sponsored content, if we ever run it, is labelled as sponsored in the headline area.
- No advertiser, affiliate partner or sponsor sees a piece before publication, changes a verdict, or influences what we cover.
- A commercial relationship never turns a negative review positive. If that ever becomes the price of a partnership, we do not take the partnership.
Updates to evergreen articles
Tutorials and tool guides go stale fast. Substantially updated pieces carry a visible “last updated” date, and say what changed. We do not re-date an article without changing it.
Independence
AI Decode Wire is independently owned. It is not funded by, or affiliated with, any AI company.
Raising something
Corrections, disagreements and tips are all welcome through the Contact page. Nothing is held against the person raising it.
